Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (SSSA) is an autonomous, special statute public university operating in the field of applied sciences. The ICT-COISP team of TeCIP Institute holds more than 20 years of experience in the iron and steel sector and handled more than 70 EU-funded projects. Main research areas are modelling, simulation, management and optimization of industrial processes also through AI-based technologies.
In SMARTER, besides coordination, SSSA contributes mainly to the development of process and networks models, energy optimization approaches, strategies for improved processes synchronization and scenario analyses. Moreover, SSSA supports integration, field test and validation of the developed solution at ABG.
